Chateau Siran
From soils of gravel and sand, the wines of Chateau Siran are typical of the Margaux region’s great growths. Powerful yet refined, the perfect balance of tannins, fruit and acidity is at all times sought. Wine capable of long ageing, time rewards the palate with caresses of velvet and silk.
As a wine of the Margaux appellation, from a rare blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot, Chateau Siran strives towards finesse, femininity and silkiness, rather than the pure power and masculinity of other Medoc wines. The comparatively higher percentage of petit verdot, which, in certain years, reaches 15% of the final blend, lends a distinctive spiciness to the finish which is the hallmark of Siran.
Under the care of world-renown oenologue, Denis Dubourdieu, Chateau Siran’s grand vin is both charming in its youth and sublime with age, astonishing wine lovers with the sheer complexity of its bouquet that develops over time.
